چکیده
Abstract The purpose of the study was to evaluate possibility removing heavy metal cations from single-metal spiked soil samples, which were pretreated with nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) particles. Sandy artificially contaminated copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd), nickel (Ni), and lead (Pb). Contaminated samples amended different doses nZVI (0.35, 0.70 1.05 %). A sequential extraction method used determine fractionation in control samples. solution 0.1 M acetic acid (pH 3.0) investigate removal metals nZVI-amended results showed that reduced amount exchangeable form increased proportion these associated amorphous (Fe) oxides. also efficiencies increasing dose, is, 46.9 %, 5.77 33.5 2.70 % 55.9 12.3 46.2 3.79 for Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, respectively. indicated application could be beneficial subsequent using solution.

Removal of Acid Red 18 dye from Aqueous Solutions Using Nanoscale Zero-Valent Iron
Background and Purpose:Organic dyes with a complex structure are often toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, non-biodegradation and stable in the environment and if released to the environment without treatment can endanger the environment and human health. The aim was to evaluate the performance nanoscalezero-valent iron (NZVI) in the removal of dye acid red 18 (AR18) from aqueous solutions. Materia...

متن کاملAqueous phosphate removal using nanoscale zero-valent iron
Nanoscale zero-valent iron (NZVI) particles have been used for the remediation of a wide variety of contaminants. NZVI particles have high reactivity because of high reactive surface area. In this study, NZVI slurry was successfully used for phosphate removal and recovery. Batch studies conducted using different concentrations of phosphate (1, 5, and 10 mg PO4 -P/L with 400 mg NZVI/L) removed *...
متن کاملRemoval of Pb(II) from aqueous solution by azeoliteâ•finanoscale zero-valent iron composite
The effectiveness of nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) to remove heavy metals from water is reduced by its low durability, poor mechanical strength, and tendency to form aggregates. A composite of zeolite and nanoscale zero-valent iron (Z–nZVI) overcomes these problems and shows good potential to remove Pb from water. FTIR spectra support nZVI loading onto the zeolite and reduced Fe0 oxidation ...
متن کاملRemoval of Arsenic (III, V) from aqueous solution by nanoscale zero-valent iron stabilized with starch and carboxymethyl cellulose
In this work, synthetic nanoscale zerovalent iron (NZVI) stabilized with two polymers, Starch and Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) were examined and compared for their ability in removing As (III) and As (V) from aqueous solutions as the most promising iron nanoparticles form for arsenic removal. Batch operations were conducted with different process parameters such as contact time, nanoparticles ...
